About Emily

"I went into the field of counselling out of a belief that talking helps people find healing. I use an eclectic approach that combines experiential therapy, relational therapy, and parts work. Clients best know their feelings and needs, but it can take guidance to get in touch with these. I am experienced in counselling individuals, parents, and families. Through my own life experiences with loss, pain, anxiety, and questioning, I have truly come to believe in the power of therapy from the client standpoint.

As a mother myself, I care about supporting women through difficult times like pregnancy, fertility challenges, miscarriage, grief, and all stages of parenthood. I do a lot of empowering work and focus on messages we carry with us, unique growth, and increasing self-compassion.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for change and want you to feel comfortable sharing anything.

In addition to finding a good fit, it is important to seek counselling from a trained/registered professional. In addition to a Masters in Counselling Psychology, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BCACC, have completed training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), the Enneagram, Complex Care for Trauma, Sandtray Therapy (Satir), and Perinatal Mental Health with a focus on reproductive and birth trauma."
