About Lory

"I know from my own life that mental health, and especially trauma, can stick with us,
play tricks on our self-perception, and deeply affect our quality of life. My hope is to
create a peaceful space where people can feel heard, seen and supported regardless of
their struggle, gender, culture, and abilities. While I specialized in trauma healing,
neurodivergence, human rights advocacy, and parenting, my door is open to all.

My clients prove me time and time over that they possess what they need to
overcome any challenge, and simply need someone to walk alongside them to uncover
or re-discover those gifts. Nothing makes me happier than helping people find clarity,
empowerment, and alignment within themselves.

Deeply rooted in the Humanistic foundation, my approach combines tools that tap into
our conscious mind as well directly accessing our nervous system. I cultivate a holistic
and integrative approach, bringing together Narrative, Mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and
Art-based interventions. More recently, I completed my EMDR basic training along
with EFT (Tapping) Level 1. The research on those techniques and the results I’ve
witnessed continue to fascinate me. It significantly deepens the healing work when
talking is not sufficient or available to release and rewire our nervous system.

I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical
Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Additionally, I have
completed various trainings around crisis de-escalation, neurodivergence and gender
diversity."
